How often do we as parents and facilitators/teachers/mentors realize the base fact that children are doing what their developmental stage demands.
Pushing them leaps and bounds to achieve the parent's own dreams is creating a pressure as vast as the tsunami in his/her calm mind, which was only following his inner need to seek answers to what he/she wanted to know. Just as the earth is undergoing change so also the CHILD is constantly undergoing transformation and needs the time and energy to meet their inner needs.

In our selfish and aimless urge to create a competitive product out of a child we fail to see the tiny mind getting crushed within, never to blossom again.
Let us all reflect on the continuous occurences of suicidal deaths, acros all ages and walks of life, across the globe , the sad, yet harsh truth that we have damaged this beautiful creation called - CHILD and have reduced this creation to a zilch and hindered in its own discovery of life and its beauty that it confines itself into the realm of seeking peace in death, rather than the alter self -LIFE.
The future of tomorrow, the caretakers of the universe - our children, have to be allowed to grow at their own pace, as Maria Montessori has rightly said -that we have to seek to follow their dreams and be torch bearers for their mission to save the cosmos and become the epitome of peace which is the answer for the preparation of the child to transform into an adolescent - into a peaceful ADULT.
Dear teachers, mentors, parents and friends support and be the change in wearing an attitude of utmost trust in the children we work with, or are parents to, even while you read my blog.
Let us be the one who helps another adult to understand the need to be a pillar of support to the children of today and prevent more loss of tender lives.
Be the change - feel the joy when you see the child happy in what he/she has chosen to do.
Let us give them the freedom they were born with. Let us see them as human beings and not robots or autobots!
Let us pledge to add value in our own lives and our children's too.
Say no to competition and examinations and grading !
Say yes to choice of their own careers, to freedom from peer presure, to allow them to grow at their own pace.
Their peace is our joy!
